What should the luminance value for calibration be based on if the primary viewing experience is expected to be on screen? (i.e. not print, so no print viewing conditions apply)
You can basically set it to anything you wish. Lower is better in that your display will last longer. There is however a lower limit newer LCD’s can hit natively (using just the control over the backlight) before a LUT takes over. I’d say 130-140cd/m2 is a good starting point.
