Hi all,
Ita was last year 2010 surf trips to the mentawai's island.was there for 3 week's and all good...surf,people,surrounding etc....looking foward to go there again these year.....cheers...

The out of focus background is a major part of what makes these portraits great. Getting a clear face with the background out of focus takes skill and understanding of the way the lens functions and is what most portrait photographers strive for. The out of focus background is what enables the face to stand out.

for the post processing id tweak a bit here and there.......dodge and burn highlight and shadow,saturation,colour balance and high pass.....filter..

I like all three of these, but I think the last one with the hat is my favorite. So many possible stories could be going on here and her expression lends itself to many interpretations. Terrific work!

thanks redleash....few month after that the was Tsunami at that bunch of island. the village that i stay lucky was not hit...will go there again these coming july for surf trips....
