Changing Colors

Yesterday I came upon a Little Blue Heron just beginning the process of changing colors and getting its dark feathers.

    Very cool Ira, this is the first time I've seen a young GBH before getting his dark feathers. Thank you!

    Mike, this is not a GBH, but in fact a young Little Blue Heron which begin life as a white colored bird.

    Oh boy, I had to google LBH to see what they looked like, what a beautiful bird. Sorry, I'm still trying to figure out all the different types of birds we have down here. ne_nau.gif Thanks for the heads up! :D
