From a 3 1/2 visit to the Federal Mall two weeks ago.
All shot at 17mm except LM1 (28 mm)

    Looks like you had an interesting trip. 3, 5 and especially 7 are the ones I like best, though I also like the expressions in #4. #2 is a neat composition. Nicely done.

    I challenged myself to take street-type shots AND to shoot at 17mm as much as possible. It was a fun way to spend the few hours.

    In #2, I assume this is a school trip -- perhaps a high school senior class. They were likely taking their panoramic group shot before being turned loose on the sites.

    #2! That shot just made me smile. Group shots are so boring, but I really like your take on it.

    Not sure about the angle of the last shot rolleyes1.gif

    Sometimes the truth is hard to stomach... something about street photography being full of grits...

    Thanks. With #5, shooting at 17mm allows you to frame the shot and not having the subject being aware that they are in the shot.

    I enjoyed #4 for the sheer educational aspect presented. That kid is digging the fish based on his expression. Probably never seen something like that before so he's like a sponge soaking it all up.
