I'm selling my Canon EF 100 mm f2.8 Macro USM Lens with the hood. I purchased it last March 16th and there is nothing wrong with it. II rarely use it and thats why I am selling it. I have box and warranty card and caps.

It sells for $589.95 new and $14.95 for the hood. Asking $525.00 OBO. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. I can take credit cards or paypal.

From the B&H site:

The 100mm f/2.8 macro lens will focus over the full range from infinity down to life size (1:1 reproduction ratio). This lens will impress any serious photographer with its combination of versatility, image quality and superb handling. A high-performance ring type Ultrasonic Motor provides fast and silent AF throughout its focus range, and even more significantly, allows full-time manual focusing permitting the close-up or macro shooter to instantly override the AF whenever necessary.

Advanced optical formula with a three-group floating element system for exceptional close-up performance
Internal focusing means the lens length is constant
Secondary diaphragm to block stray light at f/2.8 & increase contrast when shooting in backlit conditions
Ultrasonic Motor provides outstanding AF speed at all focusing distances
Wide manual focusing ring with smooth action & fulltime manual focus override (even in AF mode)
Tripod collar available optionally

    date code should start with the "U" and another letter, then followed by 4 numbers. you should find it at the bottom of the lens, please refer here: http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/date-codes.htm

    UY = 2010
    UZ = 2011

    thanks!

    Date code only applies to L lenses. Non-L's typically don't have date codes, and even then, they don't apply the same way.
    My selling policy: PM me saying: "I'll take it". You'll be the first in line, and I'll answer any questions you have. Respond within 15 minutes of my responses, or item goes to next person in line.

    I looked and there is no date code with a U or any letter and it followed by numbers.

    The only stamp I see on the side where you connect the lens to the body is :
    71971103 if that means anything.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Presumably one of the exceptions, as I've got an mpe 65 here with UV0901 on it.
