My mother, grandfather, and myself recently did a short stint through Glacier NP. We didn't really stray from the beaten path but I came away with a couple I was happy with

C&C always welcome:

The second shot is a little magenta/cyan in the midtones but I love the perspective and detail in the first shot. Glacier NP is a gorgeous place full of photographic opportunities year-round. thumb.gif

Dang schmoo, I went back and adjusted the color levels on the second one a bit and it really improved the overall depth and warmth of the light in the trees. I still have so much to learn and appreciate ya'll lending your experience like that.

Great capture! Did you use CPL on the first image?

Great shots. It rained when I was there the whole time. I just got back from Yellowstone and Jackson though and while it rained i did get a few good ones.

Sure did, it was a late afternoon shot and everything was still quite washed out, but the shadows were just about right. It really made the sky "pop"

#1 is great. #2 needs some processing work, but #1 is really outstanding.

I took schmoo's advice with #2 and skewed the colors a bit in the red-green-yellow direction. I am much happier with depth and warmth of the result. any additional/alternate suggestions?

Colors are just as they should be now. Very nice. I might play with bumping up recovery if you are processing it RAW, the leaves in the upper part of the frame look a little blown out.
