Fine work, Jennifer. #1 is good street. #2 is very good environmental portraiture. Placement of the figure is good, and you need the interestingly textured "dead space" to the left.
Frist time I saw #1 I thought you had posted two pictures-- I use the "White" dgrin background for readability, which happens to be the same tone as the dividing line to the wall in the middle, so I saw two landscape photographs instead of one portrait image of two separate subjects. Neat.
Thanks guys. About the long shot... After seeing others here with their long-lense shots, I brought out my 180mm prime to see what all the fun was about. Of course, most of my shots with it were to see how close I could get and still have the darned thing focus. I really love it's rendering though. I'll post a few others over the next week or so. The second was on the opposite end of the spectrum, the 20mm taken in a back Melbourne Laneway.
