This is one of our Collins Class submarines. It was keeping the USS Carl Vinson company a few days ago. All friendly stuff! :)

Have to say I like this picture. Nice composition and use of negative space. Does seem to have just a tiny bit too much grain or granularity to it. But it works fine in it way and for me looks like an old image from a military history book. Have you given thought to working this one up using high key processing?
I think that would also look nice as well :D

Looks like a classic navy war shot from WWII, yet that class of sub is very modern. The grain does seem a little artificial looking. Not sure if it is too much grain, too big grain size, too little grain size. Or perhaps it is simply too uniform. As far as a creative effect, adding a stronger vignetting might make it feel as though we are looking through binoculars, or a periscope. Might make it feel more "navy-ish."
Please feel free to post any reworks you do of my images. Crop, skew, munge, edit, share.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I might try them and see what they look like.
