Officially, no it doesn't, the oldest version supported is IE9.
In practice? Most of my site is quite usable in IE8. Noticeable things that don't work:
- Elements that have semi-transparent backgrounds become opaque
- Images don't centre very well on gallery thumbnails, but your visitors might not even notice
- No fading transitions in the slideshow
Nope - clicking on the button doesn't work for me. I think that something odd is happening with the password verification - perhaps IE lower-cases it, or upper-cases it.

Oh yep, looks like it doesn't work in IE8 if you press enter to submit the form, but it does work if you manually click on the "let me in" button.
I think that this may be the IE8 bug that SmugMug runs into in that situation.
