Hi, I'm just building my new site, if you go to the following page:-

http://thebigsky.smugmug.com/browse

and then click on the Colour Landscapes category you get taken to the gallery I'm building, however the address is http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-w5PRN ?

Any ideas?

Charlie

No, surely it should be thebigsky.smugmug.com/gallery/n-w5PRN ?

    It's my site, not smugmug.com.

That's not going to resolve the issue as far as I can tell.

I deleted them a created them again directly rather than within a folder. All very strange.

It sounds like you had 'Hide Owner' enabled. To change this setting, go to the gallery in question while you're logged into SmugMug. Click 'Customize' -> 'Gallery Settings' -> 'Security & Privacy' tab -> Scroll down to 'Hide Owner'. If it's turned on, your nickname and the folder(s) it's nested in will not show up in the gallery URL.

Whoops, I got that backwards, it should say "If it's turned ON, your nickname and the folder(s) it's nested in will not show up in the gallery URL."

Thank you for this explanation. I now have another odd issue. I added a custom domain, it was working for a while, now if I enter the new URL - www.charlesheadey.com it takes me to my old site before I updated it.

If I enter the old Smugmug URL - thebigsky.smugmug.com I get the new site.

    Any ideas what's going wrong?

The following screen capture shows how your zone records should be setup. Make these changes a after the DNS propagates, your domain should be back to normal. http://screencast.com/t/3YpzxT2nE This can take a few hours.

If the problem persists, email us at the help desk, help@smugmug.com and we'll be happy to look into the issue further.
