SEO meta description in the new Smugmug

Hello everyone,
Sorry, I didn't find my answer in the forum...
Looking at the SEO Settings in the new Smugmug, it seems that some special characters don't appear correctly.
For example, I would like to have "black & white" in my description. But everytime I save my new changes, it turns to "black & white".
I understood that if I want "&" to appear, I must use "&" (which is the escaped form). So I then tried to use "&" instead in the meta description but when I save I now have "&" (so an extra "amp;").
I also have the same problem with the copyright symbol "©" which appears as "©" everytime I save...
It is pretty annoying when I paste my website url in Facebook for instance (useful for checking as the description shows automatically).
So how can I get the "&" and "©" symbols to display correctly in my description?

Thanks Mike, I understood that "&" is "&" and "©" is "©". We agree on that.
The problem is anytime I save my new changes, I then have an extra "amp;" for both.
To make it simple, here is what I want:
"World travels, street, black & white, digital and film photography. All Photographs © Ubrane. All Rights Reserved."
Anytime I save, I have this:
"World travels, street, black & white, digital and film photography. All Photographs © Ubrane. All Rights Reserved."
Now, if I change "&" by "&" and "©" by "©" like we said, I have:
"World travels, street, black & white, digital and film photography. All Photographs © Ubrane. All Rights Reserved."
Did I do something wrong? Or can't we simply use special characters anymore in the new Smugmug SEO settings? (note that it was perfectly working in the old legacy version)
Sorry to insist, I just do not see a solution...
