"Download All" now starts to download entire gallery???

I like to send download gallery links to my clients who are to receive hi-res files. It used to make a .zip file and email me a link that I could email to the client, but just today I noticed my browsers (all of them) start to download the entire gallery locally. :dunno
Anyone know what's up? I'm on "legacy" SM btw.

    Hi S-Man,

    There are a few cases where the download will start right away. The most common is if the zip file can be requested on the fly, it will start right away.

    If you need this link, please email the help desk with a link to the gallery and we can get you a copy of this link.

    Please know you MUST make this request from the email address used on your SmugMug Account.
