Bandwith Pro account

I know that there's been a recent upgrade to 32GB for Pro users.
Today I almost spilled my tea at the monitor as I had a look at my control panel:
this month > photos viewed: 18420.2 | bandwidth used: 627.39 MB (out of 1 TB)
:dunno Does anyone else get something like this?! I'm not complaining just wondering if this is a glitch in my control panel? After all you have to pay the bills and I probably won't use more than 1 GB per month for the time being.

Looking forward to see what others got in their control panel. :wink

Thanks,
Sebastian

Holy cow! You guys rock. Mine still says 32 GB, which I've never come close to using, but seeing 1TB would be awesome!

To be honest, it's only really applies to a few people, since the previous limit was already quite high. Still, we felt it was important that our pro users not feel hindered by a limit. The last thing we want is for our pro's to worry about getting too much traffic to their site.

There is, however, one limitation. This unlimited bandwidth is not intended to handle hosting of graphics and such for commercial websites. Anyways, more about this when we make it official.

Okay guys, seriously. This is getting ridiculous. You aren't giving the other photo services a chance. I can only pick my jaw up off the floor so many times!

I'm still at 32 gigs. Waaah!

Okay in all seriousness, I don't think I've ever in my life consumed more than 6 gigs of bandwidth in just one month, and usually I don't break 5 gigs. And I get a considerable ammount of traffic too, with 51,000 photos viewed so far this month. (mostly just myself constantly grooming my site I presume) I'm sure others get way up there, though...

I've successfully sold event photos in the past by telling people, "The photos will only be available for two weeks before I need the bandwidth for other projects-- so order soon!" For some reason, a lot of people need a deadline before they'll order prints. Now what reason will I give them?

This is actually great news (the unlimited traffic). Thanks.

Here's a good one "For the next two weeks all photos are 10% off" Then raise the price after two weeks. That should motivate them :D

As for the restriction, I can use it for my blog photos, forums, etc, but can't use it for hosting "All" the images for a commercial site right?

Haha I did the same thing (well, I sent out e-mails saying that the photos from last year would come down in two months so that I could free up bandwidth...it did turn a handful of sales.

Enough to give Wireless nightmares. Rafael is a fantastic tennis player and a great guy, but I'm sure Wireless' heart stops beating for a while every time he takes down Federer and posts a new shirtless photo.

Back to the 1TB. I know you always stick to your word and seeing that you're stating unlimited bandwith for pros - what happens if someone actually hits the 1 TB wall in one month?
I think I already know the answear, but still I'm curious, because this is a hell lot one get's for 150$/year. eek7.gif

    Sebastian, UNLIMITED is UNLIMITED :D
The 1Tb in control panel is probably just because onethumb had to put something there. I'm not going to bother him with that question.

Okay I get it now. Apparently Don had fun (he seemed to have bothered himself with following this thread) showing off what he can do as my control panel now says:
bandwidth used: 761.99 MB (out of 1 PB)
^^notice the petabyte instead of the old and small terabyte that you could find there before. If I'm not mistaken this should equal around 1,048,576 GB which for one month is even more than Rafael ever could use up for his site. :D

I can just say WOW - you're sticking to your word like no one else! thumb.gif
