Awesome. The first shot is amazingly sharp and vivid on my screen!
Do you sit and wait for the birds to come to you, or do you stalk them mwink.gif Seriously, I'm having a devil of a time capturing birds. I never realized before how sensitive they are.. they see me with a camera and they are gone!!!

    Thanks for sharing these.

Thanks, Raian. I really appreciate your nice comments.

Luck plays a huge part in getting any good shot. Some times I stalk them, and some times they seem to stalk me.

    hmmm not bad....

j/k its one of the most beautiful pictures ive seen of a blue bird. If you used the canon 100-400 L its even more amazing! id have thought you bought a canon 500 mm - a really fantastic image!!

    congrats!

    Wow! That first shot....
is something for all of us to use as a standard in shooting small birds - absolutely terrificclap.gifclapclap.gif

I certainly hope this one is already printed, framed, and hanging on the wall...

Keith, thanks a lot for the compliment. I'll have to experiment with printing this image. The problem is that it's a pretty severe crop, so there's not that much information to work with. Maybe I'll try a 5x7 which won't have to be blown up so much. Good idea though.

    -joel
