This is one of the gauges from an old Ford tractor that is part of my dad's collection:

Let me know if these work for you? I'm going back to my parents this weekend, so I can reshoot if need be.

Thanks,,
Eric

The b&w version is workng forme. I don;t like the edge being cut off on the keyhole on the left and the image feels tilted down to the right a bit. I'm also feeling that the DOF is a bit too shallow and the outer edge of the ring around the gauge is OOF. If you can reshoot it and fix these things I think it'll be a much stronger image.

I like the B&W image more as well. I too would like to see the outer ring of the guage more in focus.

I actually like the color image better, with a little more contrast it could really be a unique entry.

    Color for me
I actually prefer the color, but you might try maybe to make the blue a bit grainer (add some noise) to give it an older look&feel ... but I am not sure this is allowed by the rules.

The color works better for me, too. It's a little unexpected and caught my attention more than the b&w version.

Nice use of the tractor collection. :D

Thanks for all the replys. I'm going to use some of the suggestions and see if I can come up with a strong entry.

    I love the color.
I'd prefer to see, as mentioned, either no cropping of the ignition thingie or a harder crop of it. Right now it reads as an accident.

Well the weather sucked and reshooting was impossible so I went back and reworked the colored version:
