I've got over 40,000 on my bike in about 2+ years. I agree, Harley's need miles. You go into a Harley showroom and you'll see 3 year old bikes with 2,000 miles on them. Friggin' yuppies!

Lots of folks here are refugees from www.advrider.com... where the primary bike of choice is the BMW GS. The same guy runs both sites, he's really nice, so we came here to politely stir-up trouble.

This pic was taken on HWY 96 (I think it was 96 anyway), just before descending to Silver Cliff, CO. And yes, it's a BMW, although not the ever popular gnarly GS. It's a K1200RS, inline 4, 130 ponies and smooth as a babies behind. Some say it has no character compared to the boxer, but I like it just fine!

I ment "cretin". ( I can't spell or type) The name given in the Valais and other Alpine valleys to the one suffering from a particular kind of idiocy prevalant there. (Universal Dictionary of the English Language, Copyrite 1896, volume 2)

Chretien is a variety of pear. The bon chretien. (Universal Dictionary of the English Language, Copyrite 1896, volume 2) or Chretien de Troyes, poet. (Newworld Dictionary copyrite 1970, my new dictionary. :D

Bikes, huh? Well, this is an absolutely terrible picture, but here I am with my SV650S, fully loaded doing traffic duty on the last northeast AIDS Ride:

And I don't even have one as interesting as that of my Vulcan (teal, in front):

A pic of a couple of guys squatting down, labeled "And my BM" is definitely overshare.
