Which are your top ten images from LPS #3? In the spirit of the game, don't include your own image (if you submitted), we all know you would vote for yourself, too! Feel free to come back and edit as needed. Here are mine tonight, in no particular order:

I think I'll delete this thread so that judges aren't influenced.

    Sorry.

(And I'm a judge! I averted my eyes from your text).

Don't go near the entry thread then, I hear it is full of posted photos. Oh and stay away from the "what do you think about this photo I took" threads, they have pictures and opinions to :nono

After thinking about this a bit more, I think the title of my post made the intention of the post clear and could easily be avoided by anyone who didn't want to be influenced.

I think this kind of discussion is a natural and postive outcome of the contest and should be nurtured, not micromanaged. I say this with the upmost respect, of course.

Shay....Good point. Most of the judges should just avoid reading any of the comments, but in Andy's case I think he has to read them as moderator?ne_nau.gif

    How about this:
After the judges have completed posting the results, can we start a thread where the rest of us can post our favorites -- kind of a Peoples Choice type of thing?

    We're all moderators :D

I'm also a judge this round.

But so, let's say we have the thread stand- and someone gets in a fight over one shot or another or whatever... and we have to moderate. Then what :D

Talk all you like, we love it! But I personally think it's best to wait till after judge's picks.

There are so many top quality shots!! I would dread being a judge and have to go through my list again in a while as there were 6 that have blown me way since I first saw them and still do - but another few I want to look at some more.

What a tough life, having to drool over these amazing images! clap.gif

    Well done everyone!

I got my ten in lps#3, but I guess I'll wait until the results are in...rolleyes1.gif

It was rather easy this time, actually.
With so many entries, many of which were so nicely done, my logic was simple: I went through the list and picked up those I haven't had a slightest doubt about.
I ended up with 8 rock solid and 4-5 tossups, out of which I simply picked up the 2 I liked more at the moment.
Unfortunately, mine was not amongst those 8... :cry
Gotta work harder next time :D

I've picked mine but I'll wait too. It was easy not to pick mine, I didn't like it enough to enter it. :(:

I don't remember titles but two of my favorites were of dogs. One was the dog at the water fountain and the other was the one of the Border Collie (or Australian Shepherd) sitting on a rock with an absolutely gorgeous sky in the background.

I feel so exposed with my poor wee favorites sitting out there, all by themselves and lonesome.

Not asking who will get chosen, asking who were YOUR favorites? I totally dig why the judges aren't sharing their picks yet. The rest of you: commit, why don't ya?!

I think the fact that Robert and Nikolai only have two in common says something about the quality of the entries... and the hard job the judges have.

    My favorites, in order submitted:
    1. Fields of Gold
    2. Linens from the Outlet
    3. ...don't you just love Colorado?
    4. Gone to seed
    5. "While you were sleeping (I was awake and dreaming)"
    6. "...perhaps more prunes..."
    7. Snowed In in April
    8. Waiting
    9. Waterfall
    10. Luminescence:
I actually picked quite a few more but this is a top ten list. Many great shot this time around. All are chosen less for technical reasons and more on the fact they got a reaction out of me, be it a smile each time I look at them, or a Wow! or a sense of peace. Great work everyone!

PS: Looks like the judges agreed with three of mine! clap.gif
