Hi,
Could someone please tell me if I will need release forms to display password protected galleries displaying one photo. So far I have only photographed people I know and received permission verbally to use them in my portfolio. I am planning on giving people the option of public or private but public would mean displaying one picture in a password protected gallery. Could I word it in such a way on my website so people are aware of what public means? I would not use them in my portfolio without written permission. regardless, you don't need releases IMO.

Password and public settings are two different things.
'Public' shows the gallery to logged out users, regardless if a password is set. Set public to 'no' and it will not show to logged out viewers.
