    Great tilt, Douglas!

Maybe not the best use of tilt, but i wanted to try out my extension tube. This is an uncropped, full frame. The bottle was laying on its side lit from below in the back. I did tilt the camera but I also flipped from landscape to portrait in PS because it looked a whole lot better I thought. Shooting with an extension tube is a whole nother world, lots to learn!! Cant wait to find some interesting subjects.

You know what I think? If you could manage to tilt it down and catch the droplet coming out... "Last drop" so to speak..mwink.gif

I'd say it's too much flash in your shot, but it's tilted and that's what counts! :-) mwink.gif
Now let's concentrate on our latest subject - extreme crop!

I've been lurking around here for a while and when I shot this, I thought of the "tilted" assignment. I know I'm *really* late on this, but hope it's not TOO late. (I took the shot 2 weeks ago.)

Now, there's one thing you have to understand about me.... I don't really like tilted photos 99% of the time. Why? I feel it's just something that many people are doing to try to make their photos more interesting. And it often doesn't help. rolleyes1.gif

In this case, I shot the photo tilted because I was way too close with my prime 50mm lens - and unfortunately cropped the bottom of her heel too close. 11doh.gif

Anyway, I'd love to get some honest feedback on whether or not this works. Sure, I could put this on the "whipping post", but I'm not sure it's worth it for this photo... (I know it's good, but don't think it's great...)

    Thanks!

    Darn! That's what I thought you would say....:cry rolleyes1.gif

Seriously, I wondered about that. I only have a few photos that I have tilted that I feel were good that way.....

Thanks so much for the honest feedback! I really appreciate it. :D

    Why not ?
As a matter of fact the lens was at 16*1,6 mm and I could not be more back than I was.
May be I' ll get a wider lens someday ... ne_nau.gif

One of the reasons - everything should have some reason, however subtle or personal this reason can be.
The reason of extreme tilit is - usually - to give some uniquess and novelty to an otherwise well-familiar and possibly dull/boring subject.
In your case it's an *Indian Palace*. deal.gifeek7.gif
For all us westerners it's as exhotic as it gets all by itself. You had us at hello, no need to jump over one's head with strong tilts...

As I said, it's a valid entry, but from a purely photographic standpoint effect does not work for me ne_nau.gif

I like the #2. It's both a valid entry and a nice shot (albeit light is rather harsh). #1 is not so much either...ne_nau.gif

I tilt all the time, but this is my kitten "Cork". Cropped it closer for better effect...
