I've been trying to upload all day without success. With the smugmug drag-n-drop, after it uploads everything, it says sorry we didn't get any photos. On SE I keep getting the message wrong RPC_XML: Wrong FOrmat () 4.

Anyone else??

they are jpeg and SHOULD be sRGB but I haven't verified that recently.

In my conversion process on Adobe CS2 there was a check box for "include ICC" I don't recall seeing it before and DID NOT select it.

That may be the problem. I have been using a script until today because it "broke". Since then I was using the "image processor" and that's what is different.

however, I'm sure that the reason we haven't heard from the TEAM, is because they are busy addressing the issue. :D

Only time will tell, but so far I'm having a little bit better luck with the "send to smugmug" program--I'm on image 15 of 271!

    Keeping my fingers crossed.

It's been my experience that a socket error means that the connection is disrupted. The tricky part is figuring out what causes it. It can be caused by security software or your actual connection to SmugMug. If you have problems, can you run a traceroute from SmugMug? Just use this link while you are logged in: http://www.smugmug.com/homepage/traceroute.mg
Then email the results to SmugMugs support. That will get us started.

Replying to their reply, here's some more details in an email response I just sent in to support:

I'm actually running Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.4.

I've been running a constant ping to the hera.smugmug.com address from
two completely separate networks (Road Runner and XO), and I've been
seeing intermittent time outs on both connections at the same times.

I'm seeing intermittent connection issues to both smugmug.com
    addresses and dgrin.com.

I'm now trying the 'send to smugmug' program, and it seems to have a
lot better error correction than the java application and is
correcting itself after the connection problems I'm seeing with the
ping command (again, on two completely separate networks).

The site has also been intermittently slow for the past few weeks
(from the multiple networks I've tried).

Other than the built-in Windows Firewall and a Netgear router in front
of my computer, there is nothing else.

I get this anytime I run a traceroute from my home network:

    Tracing route to hera.smugmug.com URL="http://63.81.134.23/"]63.81.134.23[/URL

    same issue here
I'm having the Java "socket write error" also. Had the same problem last night and tried again this morning. I'm actually glad it's not just me.

"Send to Smugmug" works, but only in small batches. I don't know if that is normal since I've only used the Drag and Drop uploader.

No settings have changed on my computer since the last upload that worked.

My reply to support's reply this morning:
    ----

I was able to finish up my upload last night using the 'send to
smugmug' program (although it was moving very very slow). I haven't
tried the java application again, but it was very evident that
yesterday evening there was major packet loss from both of the
    networks I was testing on.

Here are speed tests from both. The first is the RoadRunner connection
and the second is an XO/Allegiance Telecom T1.

    Hi John,

I ran a diagnostic test on your account, and there seems to be some problems with your connection to us. I am wondering if you are running any type of firewall software, browser add-ons, etc? Can you run a trace route for us and post the results here?

Try these instructions to run a traceroute on a PC:
    http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/2959046
That will help us see if and where any problems may be.
