While in Jacksonville I was planning to get to the Alligator Farm just when they open, but I didn't make it until noon, so, as you may see, I had to deal with harsh lighting. I've got to plan better next trip to Jacksonville. :D

and clearly you've got to have at least one photo taken of an alligator.

Super set. thumb.gifThe Tri-colored heron with the wings spread is a nice pose. The spoonbill has very nice eye contact. The Green heron has a nice perch and pose and those reddish egrets are just darn ugly. :D The dragonfly on the alligator makes for an interesting pic!

Harsh light or not, these are great -- and the dragonfly on the alligator? That takes it all!

I agree with all the above, those are beautiful shots. That gator doesn't look too pleased with the dragonfly!

Like the immature tri-colored heron pair best, but the dragonfly on the eye of the gator is pretty cool too!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks, Dee. At first I thought there was something wrong with its eye, when I realized that it was actually a Dragonfly.
