I looked at really hard trying to find something wrong with it and I couldn't find anything to complain about except for the absence of egrets.

Brutally honest eh - well, here goes... I'm a sucker for pictures including elements of ocean/beach/maritime stuff. I'm a sucker for sunrises/sunsets. In short - I like it. For me the mood is great. I really like the reflection. Like bfjr said, I'd like to see a nicer sky, but what the heck.

That is a good photo, I suppose could be great with a better sky. On the other hand, a better sky might detract from the reflections.

I really like it.

So, I looked at it. Told you the truth, a really good photo, so good that for bumping it back up, would you please tell me if the color intensity was in the image immediately or if you did anything to help it a bit, if so what? One thing, it is so sharp, is that just a smart use of a tripod. It just looks better and sharper than most reflections I have seen. Even the building and lights do. Anything I can learn from this?

The bump didn't work, I will try this one. I looked at the shot again, the clarity, focus and all are amazing. And the brightness. Still looking to learn, myself.

Could you say what you did in post?

Like everyone else, I really like the reflections. A couple of things occurred to, looking at yer shot. Pan down a wee bit, put the pier more firmly in the upper third, which will give you more reflection and balance the shot a bit better. Also, the pier is dull, it needs better light on it. But if there was a way to make the shine a bigger part of the shot, you might be able to get away with a slightly dull pier.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I didn't really do to much inpost. Did some minor color adjustments and levels just a tad, but that's it. I tried something (not srue if it did any good) but i stacked two layers on top of eachother, hoping to rid some of the noise. Again... not sure if that did any good, but it made me happy

This was not on a tri-pod... this was handheld.

So yeah... thanks again for looking... I'm still learning here

not too shabby for a non DSLR eh?
