Last month I was invited by my boss to attend an international conference in Munich, Germany. I had two days to visit the city and capture a few shots. For those that have never been to Germany, it's a photographers dream. Here are a few shots from around town.

I stayed in a small town called Freising. It's located about 30-minutes from Munich. This is the town square.

This is the famous Marienplatz located in downtown Munich. There are lots of shops and interesting places to see around the square.

I was surprised to see surfers on a river in town.

A shot from Olympia tower of downtown Munich. You can see the Alps in the background. (Not the best photo).

Being a BMW fan, I had to visit BMW Welt (World).

Any trip to Germany would not be complete without visiting a beer garden. This is the famous Hofbrauhaus.

It was a great trip, but I needed a lot more time. There are many famous castles to visit my next trip.

I like these. The one of the tower through the windows is particularly interesting.

gREAT series.....I was in the Czech Republic for 3 weeks and that was not enuff time for squat ( over 30 rolls of film and a note book full of the most beautiful purple stripes ever created by sharpie and rain.....note taking has reverted back to pencil when digital recorder battery dies.......
SO i acan easily see how 2 days can only whet your appetite so to speak.
I figure the only way to see a country properly is to move there.

    Thanks for the comments.

Audi? Why buy an imitation when you can have the real thing? Actually, Audi's are very nice cars. The wife was not too fond of them though.

Art, I think your correct. Moving there would afford you the time necessary to capture the country in detail. I only had time to take some touristy type shots.

Nice trip. The surf on the river thing is cool. In places where there are constant waves, like this river, it's gotten popular to surf. I've seen it done on the Copper River in Alaska before.

Nice shots of Marionplatz, I can't remember there being a building that high to take a shot at that vantage point, well done!! The kids surfing was a hoot as well.
