I like the second one better, Dan. You cropped out the annoying paper thingy on the table in the foreground.

not that i dont like the shot, but i think the lone man with the laptop is the subject and all the other people distract from him....ne_nau.gif

    nice setting.

I like the second one better as well. You might want to consider cropping it a bit more from the left to make those phantom hands and the notebook go away. thumb.gif

OK, so maybe I start over, but I was trying to show all the people "communicating" in different ways. One person on a laptop, would just not do that.

It seems like a good theme worthy idea to me (communication cafe), but as my daughter points out, the shot simply lacks artistic flair.

Agree, you've got a great concept and time to work it better. Good luck!

15524779-Ti.gif Good concept, but this one falls ever so slightly short. The other conversations didn't jump out at me on first look, only the laptop guy. Good luck with it Dan!

DAn - concept is great. You show 3 forms of communication. I agree with your daughter that 'something' is missing, artistically. Visit at different time of day, perhaps. Think you just have to be a'lurker' for awhile! and Keep shootin'.

I got the concept you were after--I like the second crop, but do agree cropping out the phontom hands and laptop might be a good idea.

Thanks, I went with a different concept: Reaching Out. Let me know what you think.

    giraff - "communicating"
Feeding giraff is obviously 'reaching out' but not really 'communicating'. The coffe shop illustrates 'communicating', in a few ways, without saying it.

Go back, find a time, maybe evening, when it is busy/packed.
