Last night I had a chance to put my new 50D through some real life shooting. The images below are pretty much straight conversions from RAW via DPP (gosh, I miss Bridge CS4/ACR5.0 already) , some may be minimally cropped, but that's about it, no PS.

1. Meet Whitney:

2. Who's there:

Very nice photos Nik!! clap.gif Thanks for posting the link to the gallery (exif) ... I would have never guessed your settings for the jumpy one. thumb.gif

The only one that doesn't look quite right to me is #5 (the green dress), I think it could use some color boost & it looks a bit too blue ne_nau.gif

    My favorites are 6 & 8 iloveyou.gif

    Angie, thanks! thumb.gif
I had an idea of DSS9 in the back of my mind, so I didn't do much PP. Besides, the ACR support for this camera is still weeks (if not month) away, and using DPP is a *major* PITA deal.gifne_nau.gif . Last night I spent almost 5 hours eek7.gif dealing with meager 400+ frames (not bad for one-hour shoot:-), 4 of them was due to the software inconvenience / inefficiency / sluggishness. :bash

Nice shots! Faves are 3, 6, 8 and 9. How is the camera compared to the 40D?

I especially like the first four. The lighting looks very nice in those. What are you useing to gel the flash in those four?

...er...or are they just natural light?

Agreed. #9 is some of the best work I've seen from the Darth shooter - my 2 cents, of course - but I love it.
