  Splendid shots, Brian ... I can just imagine you being introduced on R4's 'Start the week / Midweek' as 'The man that herds springtails'
  
  ... and it's all done on an area no larger than a big stamp ... not a hillside ...
  
  What was the setup for the first? ... you under, shooting up - or something different?

  Paul for the first shot I simply rested the slide against a piece of melon so it was vertical and then rested the lens on the same surface (a water barrel lid).
