Re: New X4 & X5 display sizes
Yes, thanks, very useful. You really had me when you mentioned astrophotography, one of my weaknesses. We have a 96-inch high print in a lightbox here that I downloaded from Nasa's site that is too unbelievable to be true. The get a link UI for X4s and X5s will not be ready when we roll out the X4 & X5 sizes, but it will… -
#96 first attempts
I have all sorts of ideas... the problem being that the things I would like to shoot are not to be found where I am at! Still trying to think of the unique location. In the meantime, these are a couple I took on my ride home today. I played around with the processing on the tracks just to be playing. Probably a bit too… -
Re: Please help me to choose a business card...
Thanks Kat. I hope I get some more input on the last two. $96 for 5000 seems like a very good deal. Currently I do business with iPrint and will order 500 per order. Aruba is a small place and 500 will go a long way. Thanks for your offer. ...and Smuggy...she's just a great thankfull and healthy dog. Thanks for your… -
Re: LR Collection Q
Well, it appears that SOMETIMES it will let me drag into a collection, sometimes not. What is strange is its acting like that photo is already in the collection, and maybe it is. When I view the collection, it tells me I'm seeing "55 of 95" photos, but I can't figure out where the missing 20 photos are. AND, if I do… -

Uploading, resolution, and that stuff
I shoot with a Canon 20D. What resolution (72, 96, 300) should I use when I upload to SM to ensure that if a photo is purchased, at any size up to the maximum size offered, it will be printed at its best possible quality? Should I leave it at the 8meg size? Also, should I do a "save for web" in CS, at what percent quality… -
Mini challenge #96 | EYES |
This challenge runs from now till 8 am EST 6.5.2010 The theme is Eyes; it is one of my favorite things to capture, and I rarely catch it the way I want to. It can be close up, far away, or it can be an animal's eyes, but mainly it must portray the emotion of the moment. So here are a few of my attempts my oldest daughter… -
Optimum for FB timeline
Not the galleries, not the cover photo, --for an image that appears "shared" on The Wall. This is not a giant priority, though for the time I've spent, you'd think it was. I made a 1200x1200 px box at 300 dpi. I filled it with a smooth gradient. I put in three lines of text and have experimented with uploads of varying…
