Re: Ridiculous Pricing?
I certainly wasn't attacking your pricing (I didn't even look at it until you mentioned it in the thread); what I tried to do was explain a possible reason why the individual you mentioned was charging the prices he was. I used the examples of killboy and rt 129 as sites of where inexpensive download prices are part of a… -
Re: Buying a Camera? How To Not Get Ripped Off.
In order to warn others I thought I might add this. A friend just got a camera she ordered from Abe's of Maine. She had been looking at the Rebel Xti to upgrade from the K2 she has. She called me last week to tell me that she had placed the order. I immediately asked why she did not call me first for advice. She said it… -
Re: Premiere Pro import jumpy
What kind of input are you using? When you first start premiere it asks/makes a sequence for you. A sequence is basically where you put the clips you want to use to create a video. A sequence has tracks, as many as you want. When you are done you select the sequence, go to file export media and follow a few more menues and… -

Re: Newbie here, would love some advice!
The Canon Rebel K2 is suitable for most introductory photography courses, which is why I purchased it. You can operate it in manual-metering and manual-focus modes, which is usually what instructors prefer. Other features useful for general photography: seven selectable auto-focus points; standard, AI-Focus and AI-Servo… -

Still having speed issues
Due to life constraints, I put my photography on hold for a few months - and a primary factor of that was the lack of speed to my smugmug site from anywhere around my area. It was frustrating to take pictures and have my customers tell me they couldn't see the pictures. I thought it had something to do with DSL vs Cable… -
Re: Two new photo book printing places...
Shutterfly, MyPublisher & SharedInk as Options I can't speak for Picaboo, etc.; however, I did do a ton of research so I could offer my wedding clients less expensive photo books. I've been ordering from Shutterfly for ages and I love the leather/leatherish covers versus the cheap feeling canvas/cloth books I've seen from… -
Re: Lost meta data in LR3?
Exifutils ( www.hugsan.com/EXIFutils ) shows, and edits if you want to, all the exif in an image, including raw images. Not free but well worth. It also is a pretty good reference to what is available in exif info. Here is an example of the kind of stuff it pulls from a Canon raw file. Not everything is decoded but with a…
