Cleaning the PCU??? myself maybe???
The first day after my Cannon 30D pourchase the camera was exchanged due to a "spot"... dirt on the PCU... Now, about 30 days later... in clear bluw sky pictures... 2 dots... $84 to clean those spots, that is IF Wolf Camera does it themselves, actually I have only come accross one that does... Otherwise... send it out... I… -
U2 360º Tour at the new Cowboys Stadium
I had the great pleasure of seeing U2 for the fifth time. My first time was in '84 at the Bronco Bowl in Oak Cliff near Dallas. The Alarm opened up for them. This time Muse opened and did a fine job. As many of the attendees have commented, the stadium acoustics are not optimal probably because of that huge digital screen… -
Spring Lake
Yesterday...on the spur of the moment...I decided to take the two hour trip to Green Island, Iowa. Well...when we got to Savannah where we cross the Mississippi...the freakin' bridge was closed!:boid So...we took Rt. 84 to the south to cross the river at Clinton. Not two miles down the road, we stumbled across Spring Lake… -
Re: SE: 100 days. 100 builds.
Great work Nik! That's so cool to be involved in the development of such a useful app from the start on. Just wondering why I only got 16 releases, where are my 84 missing ones? I never understood the way of numbering app versions. :D Currently have an upload and after that we'll see if you really got that nastly little… -

Re: D2H Settings
Also, I don't know what metering mode you are using, but I get best results with the matrix metering. You might know all about this already, but if not it's explained on page 84 (or 85?) in the manual. I use this in apature prority mode and usually get pretty good images straight from my camera - they just need a little… -
Re: Shopping for First DSLR
Ok call me #3 on this bandwagon. Olympus For your price range you will get more camera for your money. Their kit lens is equivalent to 28-84, and a 80-300 is only 100 dollars more. (14-42, 15-150, there is a 2x "crop factor") Also the "cheap" Olympus lenses are higher quality than Nikon's...and you get built in… -

Re: #79 last minute - c&c please
Thanks for the feedback folks, it is much appreciated. I too wish there had been more contrast but I had to go with what I could. We have had either rain or bright sunshine here for days. When I took these it was around 84 degrees F and very bright. To get any sort of movement I had a circular polariser & an ND 8 filter… -
DSS 84 - Grateful
Knowing we were in the "cone of uncertainty" for a hit by Hurricane Irene, as soon as I read this challenge I knew I had to wait and see if it hit us and if made it through without any damage. Has been an amazing day, and, for the most part, the island has escaped any serious damage. A few trees here and there. A stinging…
