Making Your Image Pop
Making Your Image Pop Tutorial by DavidTO. Often a very good photo is ruined because it lacks "pop". This is a way of saying that the image looks flat and boring. I'm going to use this image to show how to quickly add pop to your flat images. Yes, there are many ways to do this, but we're going to go over a very simple and… -
A Christmas Visit from "Nobody"
I figured that you guys would appreciate this. This is true and occured only a few hours ago. My mothers side of the family held our annual Christmas Dinner this Christmas Eve at our local church. We have been holding this dinner at the same church for as long as I can remember. Our family has changed as people have passed… -
No Images - Opinion
Interesting point of view Here's a list of tips, advice, rules and just things to know about photography from Eric Kim, a street photographer who also holds photography workshop classes. Here's the full list: 1. Just because someone has an expensive camera doesn't mean that they're a good photographer. 2. Always shoot in… -
The Road From Zion
Vacation day in Denver. The wife awoke at 3:00am in Florida. She was snowed out of Denver for 2 days forcing us to cancel one day of the trip to Utah. Her airplane landed at 9:00am and were on the road in no time, the wife packed in the back seat asleep. We took to the road in east Denver in overcast skies. No time to stop… -

I've already posted stuff from the Milan cemetery, but didn't have the chance to do a whole bunch of processing other than that. Re: Is there still a place for Film Cameras?
Of course, you'll mostly hear his sort of advice from mostly nature photographers. Because quite frankly, digital HAS won out in the fast action shooting. But for the zen photographers, film still takes the cake, in many situations. I just don't like to fiddle with ISO, WB, contrast, color space, etc. etc. when I'm… -
Re: Upload speed
You may have to do what I did and aggregate multiple links using a multi-wan router. Initially, I had three 6m/384k cable modems, but was still producing 2-5gb of data a weekend. So 5000MB at approximately 7seconds per MB would take 35000 seconds or 583 minutes or about 10hrs with the 18m/1.152m. This was far better than… -

Re: Rolex Kentucky 3 day event - advice?
:) I was there shooting for Equestrian Services, LLC and David and Karen O'Connor. Since I helped set-up their media launch at the Primedia tent last year they were very helpful :) I was shooting mostly for the Karen who was riding and David, who was coaching the Canadian team. Also, you can get right up close and (almost)…
