Proof of Destroyed Print Before Sending a Reprint?
I received a print order which included a metal print. All metal prints I've received in the past have had rounded corners. This particular one did not, and has very sharp, pointed corners. I sent an email to the Heroes and simply asked why this was. I wasn't sure if maybe Bay Photo stopped rounding the corners since my… -
Valley of Fire
One of my favorite day hike areas near Las Vegas. Most time is spent hiking in the canyons of Rainbow Vista, and I was able to mosey around and take some snaps. I'll post some more once I get through processing! This was taken from side canyon just after sunrise. Five image HDR and playing around with the Orton effect. I… -

Re: Why are 50mm lenses so special?
The article "Article: The Forgotten Lens" by Voth shows exactly why the 50mm or"normal"lens is the forgotten lens. If you look at his photos on the page you will see that every one of them has such shallow DOF that parts of the subject and in one photo all of the subject are out of focus. I agree with his dissertation on… -

My biggest complaints!
Hello all. I would like to start by saying that I have been with smugmug for over a year now and have had wonderful experiences. The people there are wonderful to deal with and no one can complain about the quality. I do however share the complaints that most people have:Packages, coupons, volume pricing. etc....This… -
Re: Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park
On Thursday, instead of intermittent showers, we had rain. We let the kids sleep late, did a bit of tourist shopping and then arranged to catch the water taxi to Meares Island. My youngest son was hoping it wouldn't be as rough as the whale watching trip the day before, and it wasn't. The water in the sound was nice and… -
Re: Abusive Comments and Thumbs Up/Down
Popularity algorithm is still broken Hello Allen, Thank you for taking the time to reply and for the tip. I have tried what you suggest and it does work, I get most of my customization back. But that is not the issue, I don't want to fight with a workaround the consequences of another workaround (the changes made in CSS to…
