Re: Configuring ETTL Flash-Fill with Canon 1DMII and Speedlite 430EX

Re: Photo scanning workflow
Howdy. I'm in the middle of the same process. I have a new Smug Mug site and lots of old 25mm slides. Quite a few of my own, plus 22 slide carousels (100 slides per) of family photos I'm doing for my wife's family estate. BinaryFix gave a great response, but I thought I would go ahead and share my workflow. I figured this… -

Studio strobes are invaluable for consistent output and modeling lights do help in positioning for both highlights… -
Re: 5D or the new 40D
As one who started shooting weddings about a year ago.. I am facing the same decision - 5D or 40D? :OP I think I'm going to become a double D. :ivar I'm going for 2 40D bodies. I began with a 10D, moved to a 20D, and now a 30D Not only do I shoot weddings, but I shoot a lot of rodeos. Lots of crap light, and action in both… -

Identical for smugmug.com as well as for markusbrosch.smugmug.com. traceroute to http://www.smugmug.com (208.79.45.23), 64 hops max, 40 byte packets 1 ... 15 all fine, then the craziness starts (load balancing route ?)… -
Re: A Trip Too Small: Fiji, New Zealand, and Some More
We left Mana Island behind as we rode on the bow of a motorboat, speeding across the South Pacific with a warm wind and a hot sun in our faces. As we rounded the beach of the island that had been our home for two days, I watched the glimmering wings of a stingray pass by underneath, too fast to linger and enjoy. We headed…
