Re: Australian trip - part 3 with more food
When it came time for us to leave port, I went out on deck and took photos. I was able to see the lighthouse at the end of the point. When we were getting underway they announced that some passengers had the flu. I don't know if they really have the flu or norovirus. But my cough has come back. This was the beginning of… -
Re: Wedding workflow with smugmug
This is how I think a good SM wedding workflow would go. This is a combination of what I do now and where I would like to go in the future. Did this as part of a plan to bring on an assistant and figure I would share it with other people. Let me know if you have suggestions or better yet, share your own work flow Pre… -

Besides all the original box, packing… -
Short day trip to Yosemite
Ed and I went to visit Nee and Bill Davis to go on a day trip to Yosemite. Unfortunately we got off to a late start and driving the mountain roads took longer than the super highways Ed and I are used to. We discovered the rock slide is still there. After we entered the park we saw that fire danger was high. We stopped at… -

Review: Giottos Pro LCD protector AEGIS
Giottos Pro LCD protector review Attachment not found. Recently I purchased a new body, and like most of my gear it's either covered with gaff tape or clear vinyl. It's not that I drop my camera allot but I like to keep everything as new as possible. That being said, for years I used thin vinyl protectors with my cameras… -
Re: What camera bag do you guys use?
It's nice to know I'm not the only one with more than one camera bag. I have several: Naneu Pro Alpha: Nice backpack style bag but has the standard backpack problem of getting things out quickly. On the upside, the waist belt accepts Lowe Pro SlipLoc lens cases. It's not supposed to hold a laptop, but you can squeeze a 15"… -
Re: Sponsor for Sports Shooter
I am sorry but I can't, because I have been very naive and just gave my link to the website ... D I didn't even read the f... mail to the end...:D I just erased it but I can still recover it. No. I will recover it now and paste it here. It goes like this: " Hello, and thank you for expressing an interest in becoming a… -
Re: Why are 50mm lenses so special?
In over 50 years in photography I have never heard a prime lens refferred to as 1x or 2x. 100mm lens for 35mm is a "normal" lens for 6X9 format. It is certainly not a 2x lens. The only use I have ever heard for 1X, 1.4x, 2X, etc is for lens converters. When applied to any focal length lens they multiply the focal length by… -
Re: LPS#1 Semifinalists List!
Does photography feed your soul? So ... this has been interesting. Truth, you are a great photographer but don't let it consume you. You may find this post too personal or sentimental, but I mean it as "truth," for me at least. I'm brand new to Dgrin and Smugmug but I'm not new to criticism or critique. I once took things…
