Re: Vertical Breadcrumb?
I ended up using this, which keeps the breadcrumb in the same place in my right margin, but the text it no longer rotated. That doesn't bother me too much. /*Place spine breadcrumb*/.sm-page-widget-6266593 .sm-breadcrumb { opacity: 1; position: fixed; top: 0; left: 94%; width: 0; margin-left: 5px; margin-top: 250px;… -

Re: Smugvault vs.
I ran into this two days ago and I won't be renewing Mozy for another year (though I'm only at the beginning of this one!). I turned my external drive off for a few days and when I turned it back on it got a new drive letter. Even when I manually changed the drive letter back to the old one Mozy still decided to reupload… -
missing galleries
Hi there, i'm currently writing a little java program (http://code.google.com/p/jsmugmugbackup/) to up- and download pics to smugmug. Everything seems to work pretty well, only that some galleries are not show on my smugmug website. For instance: i have a category in which i uploaded 94 galleries. The Summary of that… -
Re: Best Third-Party zoom lenses for Canon 5D MKII
if you don't have a lot for now I also recommend the the 17-40 4.0L or the 28-70 older 2.8L I owned the 28-70 it was pretty nice on a crop body and still worked well with AF even though it was manufactured in 94 (my copy was) if you need zoom the 70-200 F/4.0 is on the cheaper side too... Just buy these all used as the US… -
Re: Indigo Bunting
Beautiful bird and very good captures. The shots are a little bright for my taste. I tried loading the first image into my editor and adjusted the exposure slightly and liked the results. Your exposure was 0-50-100.....my edit was 6-52-94....which gave it a little more contrast and deeper colors with a slightly darker… -
Re: Need camera bag suggestions!
I've had a few bags but by far the best bag I've owned is a Domke! Got a black F2 and a blue/tan F-3X that I've been using with out issue since way back in 94/95. And yes they are still waterproof after all this time!! ==> http://www.tiffen.com/domkecat07.htm He also makes some hella good straps and vest too!! So take a… -
Re: Congratulations kdotaylor for the DSS #92 (optical illusion) Winning Photo!
I was looking for the round to be announced in a new thread just like the regular challenges, I guess. I'm not sure how they work since it's been a long time since I've done the one Mega challenge. Is it ok for me to participate in the DSS 93 if I qualified for the next Mega challenge? I see on that page you linked this… -
Small Rewards
I was scanning some old negatives recently and ran across this image I had long forgotten about. My wife used to run marathons when we were younger and I was the pit crew. I took this photo while waiting for her in the finish area of the '94 Portland Marathon. The reward for weeks of training and 26 miles of self abuse....…
