Bizarro Lightroom Plugin / Facebook problem
Finally upgraded to Lightroom 3 and simultaneously tried the Lightroom upload plugin. Everything went smoothly -- new gallery created, 93 photos uploaded, no problems. I then went to Facebook to share the new gallery and instead of getting the gallery name displayed I got the ugly URL instead -- plus I got no thumbnail… -

Re: the dgrin game - post your comments here!
Sure, Salazar . . . My shot is from a series of shots I took in Shenksville, Pennsylvania at the memorial at the crash site of United Airlines Flight 93 - the aircraft that was intentionally brought down on Sept 11, 2001. Here are the rest of my shots: http://cspics.smugmug.com/gallery/1361087 I was driving to Pittsburgh,… -
Re: DGrin Shootout 2009 -- Transportation Thread
Since you live on the coast, I would suggest traveling through the mountains. A suggested route: Take I-93 through Franconia Notch and turn right onto Rt 3 over to Rt 302. Take 302 through Bretton Woods and Crawford Notch. Left onto Rt 16 in Glen up through Mt. Washington Valley to Rt 2 in Gorham. If you like driving back… -
FS: New 2.5 640GB Scorpio Blue Western Digital
I bought these in bulk to get a better price. I'm not looking to make a profit, just the money I spent to get the bulk price. I have 2x 2.5 640GB Western Digital Scorpio Blue Drives. Both are brand new and in OEM anti static packaging. I'm asking $93 for the drive, $8 shipping to anywhere in the USA, and $4 for paypal… -
Re: Home Sweet Alley
It's good that you're paying attention to those cultural taboos; too few people do. In '93 when I was in Somalia, I spent time at an MSF clinic, and before I started shooting I asked the french nurse running the clinic if it was alright to photograph the patient. 'Absolutely,' she told me. 'They don't mind.' So I went… -
Re: In Memoriam: Ginger Jones
I'm very saddened by the news of Ginger's death. I don't post much (too shy about my lack of skill), but have been an avid viewer and reader of Dgrin for some years. Of all the memories on this site, the one that made me stay and renewed my faith in people was a post by Ginger in the "Show us your mug!" thread. Everyone up… -
Re: You said it could be off topic fish

Re: SmugMug Update From Baldy
Hey Mishenka, This is good insight but I think about it in a different way, fwiw. This is probably an unimportant detail, but I think the number of customers who are willing & able to use JavaScript in the way we've historically enabled it is closer to 1%, if that high. But whether 7% or 1%, it's in our interest to enable… -
Re: Canon 7D AI Servo vs AI Focus
I believe that the AF section of the Canon 7D is one of Canon's better AF implementations. I believe that it compares well to the top-of-the-line 1D series in good light, but it slows in low light. (This behavior is documented somewhat in the user manual on the bottom of page 93.) AF speed and accuracy are excellent when…
