Re: Modified Journal Style?
Yes there is but not sure if it's perfect. I have the CSS changes on this journal gallery. http://www.photosbyat.com/Archery/Bobs-Bear-Trip/ Will have to find the thread that discussed this. Edit: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=242459 This is the contents of this "just this page" CSS block. All this probably will… -
Re: Canon 24-70 f2.8L ii or Canon 24-70 f4.0 IS?
As a landscape photographer I really like lighter, smaller zooms in the f/4 range, however lately I have also ventured in the direction of night time photography and star trails, which of course demands as much aperture as possible. I opted, instead of getting all f/2.8 zooms, to simply get a 24mm f/1.4 and a 14mm f/2.8 to… -
Re: new tag cloud option
By default it actually colours keywords stronger that are more popular: http://www.sherlockphotography.org/keyword (not sure how "more popular" is determined though exactly). You can make it change font sizes as well by adding CSS: .sm-user-ui .sm-page-widget-keywords .sm-keywords-list>a { line-height:0.8;}.sm-user-ui… -
Re: What to do with this money
Nikolai, I didn't even remember what Feb 14 is. The reason the money ups on Feb 15 is because student payroll goes out on the 15th of the month. As far as printer, I got a i960 back home, and anything that won't do for I'd just have Ritz or Smugmug do for me. As far as saving more for a nice lens, here's what's on my to… -
Re: Transitioning from RAW to JPEG?
For the bikes it looks like you're mostly at 200mm. Are you cropping the shots, if not, a 300mm lens isn't going to help. Or, are you using a non-reporting tc? I've never used a Canon 70-200 f2.8, but a lot people swear by them. I use a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 with a 1.4 or 2x tc for reach. It's a really good lens. I have the… -
Re: Sr. Soccer Composite Portrait
Thanks for the likes and critiques - haven't been here in a while - the prints are 16x20 and of course thru shooting about 15 soccer games this fall it is hard to get shots that fit what some of you are talking about - I use a 3s / Sigma 120-300 combo mostly and if the subject isn't close you can't get the size you need… -
Re: Decent Lighting / Low Cost for Intimate Model Shoot
Thanks for understanding... Actually, I was gonna get the T2i body per my last post for $430 + about a $100+ lens, $550 total or so.... BUT a deal came up for the T3i: For $60 more, I would get (this new deal = $610): - T2i to T3i "upgrade" - 18-55mm IS II Lens+ (is this glass ok for me? THIS is the biggest question)… -
Re: How long until a pro DSLR...
I don't think this blurs the line at all. Just because a camera is used for professional purposes, doesn't make it a professional camera. I will be using my Nikon 1 mirrorless camera this year to shoot golf. Doesn't mean it's a Pro camera even though I will use it for professional purposes. And again, you'd be exactly… -

NCAA Help Please?
I have posted on this elsewhere but things are coming to a head and maybe I should have come here in the first place. My son is a D-I lacrosse player. I volunteered to shoot the team's games, and I post on SM with free downloads. When the head coach learned of my offer he was thrilled and offered to get me a field…
