Re: New Design - Gallery descriptions
Don, I'll just have to say that you guys have a bit of a funny way of interacting with us. If you want to do it that way, you can (it's your shop - you can do it however you want), but don't be surprised if you get odd results like this and generate a lot of confusion and angst among your customer base when you do it this… -
Re: What's Going On With the Color Red?
All the data is gray. Its no more sensible than simply seeing the issue and trying to move a slider that describes what it is you're trying to accomplish. That slider is called Saturation in Aperture after which you can look at selective color tweaks. I can speak for Lightroom much better (I have Aperture, gave up on it).… -
Re: Ice Climbing in Alaska
Lets talk about taking climbing pics in this thread. It would probably be easier then PM'ing. ;) First off I have only shot ice climbing once or twice and I am ont the greatest shot at rock climbing. However I do think I have some tips that could help! Rapping down a rope to get some action shots from next to or above is… -
Re: Veteran's Day 2009
Perfect. Thanks. Honest blunt critique is the highest praise. This particular praise is very nice, but jeez, it's not like I haven't sat in my living room with you and showed you exactly how it's done. And this particular shot got just about the most basic possible version: * Take the green channel. That's B&W conversion… -
Re: I need to know...
No. What is being complained about is the erosion of the business and percieved value of photography through the substandard work that poorly skilled amateurs are infecting it with, wether they charge for that crap work or not. So far I'm only seeing a single page for this thread so I can only guess as to what your… -
Re: A Trip Too Small: Fiji, New Zealand, and Some More
The next day we woke up still exhausted. We gradually gained some momentum and packed up camp and made it back out the three and a half miles to the road, and then we headed down to the main Yosemite Valley to find some cheap camping and hit some famous climbs. Tracy and I elected to take a rest day to try to recover, and… -

Help with my custom Navbar Please
I have both the HTML and CSS codes for my custom navbar. When I put them into the html and css box, it shows up on the site (before hitting the OK button) and it looks PERFECT, the drop down works, the fonts, the dividers, etc. Once I hit OK...then it goes wacked! the site is not unveiled yet as I'm still working on… -
>>> kidzmom, People Photo Challenge #3 winner <<<
kidzmom won the people photo challenge #3: Layers and Textures & people photo challenge #11: Shallow. I asked her to answer a few questions, and this is what she told me: WHO ARE YOU? Hi everyone. I’m Kelly, a 36 year old American ex-pat living abroad in France. I’ve been living in Europe for the last 13 years. In that… -
Re: Underpricing your images
I haven't had a price list for years. It is a completely self sabotaging initiative for the market I aim for. Price lists are great for attracting price shoppers that will compare and anylise your products and services on a numbers only basis and a published price list gives them the opportunity to avoid talking to you all…
