FS: The very best in Nikkor Manual Lenses NIKON
I'm selling these for a friend. I've looked at these lenses and the glass is perfect. I have them all in hand, so there is no confusion and I can ship immediately. I just won't be able to get any more specific with them. Nikon 28 3.5 AI. Includes: Rear Cap Bjorn rates this lens a solid 5. Lens condition is very good, glass… -
Results of Mini Challenge #304: Relfections
As I expected, this was a difficult round to judge with so many great images! @Cavalier - the image that I really like of yours is the sepia image A Three-fer. I'm sure the color version is just a beautiful! @pegelli - images #1 and #3 stand out on your entries. #3 has a complex reaction to which directions the reflections… -
Re: lens question from anonymous
PM'd to Andy.. "Originally Posted by anonymous I put this query elsewhere on the forum but thought you could help having quite a number of cameras and lenses in your arsenal: I am soon going to purchase a Canon EOS 5D and want to be sure to buy the best optics in terms of sharpness, contrast, color, distorsion, etc. I have… -
Re: It's official - I'm partial to B&W... (My latest shoot)
Your friend's face appears very bright on my calibrated monitor as well. The husband's face appears fine. It is entirely possible that they will be just about spot -on when printed. As you know, as long as it isn't entirely blown, the printed image will still appear a little darker than it appears on a pc monitor. I too am… -
Re: 5DMKII vs D700
I can't directly compare them because I haven't used the D700. In general the 5D2's AF is fast and accurate. Then again I shoot almost entirely using single-shot AF with a single selected AF point, which may be easier than, say, AI Servo mode. But if the dynamic range of the scene is too great, you're out of luck with a… -
Re: New Baby on the way... and I gots a lot of Questions!
I totally agree with everyone on the EF-S 17-55/2.8 IS (too bad I cannot afford it yet). I have the EF-S 17-85/4-5.6 IS. I got it when it came out, before the EF-S 17-55/2.8 IS was available, and it is cheaper. At the time of my purchasing the 20D, I found that my EF 22-55/4-5.6 lens was better (wider) and more useful than… -
Re: f2.8 Lens Opinions?
yes goldenballs you are right as far as you go. but it goes further. when it comes to any highend tech, the manufacturer and user are a partnership. both rely on each other through realworld use feedback and the R&D which that drives for the furtherance of their endeavours, dm's and Matt's excellent discussion mean that… -
Re: Tonya and Brian E-session
Well Urbanizes, I did get the memo and it is in fact all the rage! I really like short dof, bokeh blured foregrounds and backgrounds... I'm always looking for a new way to use it. The fact that there is a posed subject in the background isn't what I like about those shots, but I do like putting my negative space to use.… -
Re: 24-70L arrived
Definitely just a test and basically a grab shot, but glad you liked it! Since this has been re-bumped, just to mention that Qarik was absolutely right - out shooting with it today it didn't really seem that heavy at all (particularly with my nice, weight-distributing Optech strap), so I think it's just a case of getting… -
Re: Walking Tall....Sr
Who....are you? Stop being such a stranger Lynne. We all miss you and your honest opinions and guidance.....and your always gorgeous photography. The first...used no flash. We had run to the truck to get out of the rain and I drove to the parking lot below...and between where she is standing and the buildings beyond....to…
