Re: Australian trip - part 3 with more food
When it came time for us to leave port, I went out on deck and took photos. I was able to see the lighthouse at the end of the point. When we were getting underway they announced that some passengers had the flu. I don't know if they really have the flu or norovirus. But my cough has come back. This was the beginning of… -
Re: Computer Monitor vs. TV.
re Calibrate for accurate color? Maybe, maybe not. I struggle to get our households' Samsung TN panel monitor to look reasonable where with my Samsung PVA panel I have no issues. ............... Most Samsung 23" units use a 6bit TN TFT LCD panel. One model, the F2380, uses a c-PVA panel. In terms of image quality for photo… -
Re: Dell has released two new IPS monitors
Yes, this was about 3 or 4 years ago. Dell & HP were both caught but way more mud was thrown at Dell and less so at HP. Both companies had a 20" 4:3 monitor (the 2007FP and LP2065) that came to market with a similar S-IPS panel. Later production units of the Dell were supplied with S-PVA panels and HP subbed A-MVA panels.… -

Re: Your recommended monitor??
Ah... a laptop. Not quite what I envisioned when you said you had a PC. A number of recent laptops are shipping with a mini-DisplayPort as it is high bandwidth connector that allows for the the high resolution of 27" 2560x1440 to be driven by the GPU. Ditto for 30" 2560x1600 monitors. You need either a DisplayPort or a… -

Re: How To Maximize Your Findability (Search Engine Stuff)
More SEO comparisons and free tools Hi all! Since I actually work for a company who's bread and butter is SEO I thought I would throw my hat into this discussion. Caveat: I don't know code and I certainly don't know programming. However, I'm almost 2 years in this job and I do feel like I know some of the basics pretty… -
Re: A Trip Too Small: Fiji, New Zealand, and Some More
The next day we woke up still exhausted. We gradually gained some momentum and packed up camp and made it back out the three and a half miles to the road, and then we headed down to the main Yosemite Valley to find some cheap camping and hit some famous climbs. Tracy and I elected to take a rest day to try to recover, and… -
