Orlando area wedding photogs?
Hey there guys. Just got a distress call from my father and my sister that may inspire me to move down to Orlando area (Titusville actually) for a couple of years. What's it like down there? What's the low-med-high price ranges? is the market saturated with photogs? Is it as seasonal as it is in Wisconsin or is the work… -
Dellinger Grist Mill
In the late 1890's and early 1900's, the Southern Appalachians were considered to be the most dangerous part of our country.....more so than the wild west at its peak. Murders, barn burnings, kidnappings, were fairly common. Traditional law enforcement was absent as agents were literally afraid to venture into those… -
Re: Car shot, and a question
Thanks! This is def. one of my absolute fav cars (but I'm a bit biased). I was hoping there was a nice easy way of fixing those, like the red eye removal tool, but I figured there wouldn't be...The weather just didn't want to cooperate-it was actually supposed to be warm with high clouds all morning-instead, the clouds… -

Re: Making Impressive Biz Postcards
Thanks for explaining, just like most things, when u get into it, there is so much to learn, and I am investing quite a bit to this mailing and timing is crucial, gotta happen like yesterday so thats why I am acting all "desperate." People using #, then gsm, then pts, etc for paper specs, so confusing. I guess I'll just… -
Re: Dance Recital Photos in Very Low Light
excellent, concise technical summary. Of course, many of us are shooting with lesser cameras than the 1diii, but even on a crop sensor such as the 7d you can bump it up to 1600/2000 and get away with it. For me, on a 7d, 2000 is usually where I top out - I have taken shots at 3200 with the 7d, but they pretty much had to… -
Re: RAW or JPG
Pathfinder, Thank you. I can remember Ruth said he was shooting RAW and JPG at the same time. This procedure is space consuming in the cards. But today, and because of this very thread I shot pictures in RAW and in JPG and here they are. I came to the conclusion that sometimes RAW is better and sometimes the other way… -

Re: SmugMug seeming VERY slow lately...
Hi Andy - thanks for the quick response - I was afraid that would be your answer :) As I'm sure smugmug isn't a "slow site". I'm a network technician - so feel free to ask me for anything network related without long instruction :) I'm running my trace route from work right now... I'll run another trace route from my… -
Re: New: Carousel Content Block
Hi Sara, Thanks for the compliments. Of course I don't mind sharing! It was the community here that helped me figure this out, people like Leftquark, so I am more than happy to share. It's just the default gallery style with some CSS to alter things. I have CSS in two places on my site, on page and in the theme settings.…
