Re: >>> LPS#13 Feedback Thread
I have a ton of processing I have to do, so I will be doing the feedback in stages, first stage post 2 - 20. 2 - Povertybarn - Absolutely no idea I like the concept, (no light, no idea), and the cool color balance works well too. The framing seems odd though, not far enough in or far enough out and it feels like an… -
Re: Smugmug State of the Union...
A good Product team builds features that solves the problems for a large number of its customers. Good Product teams avoid building features that only a small number of loud customers ask for. SmugMug has an amazing team of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers, so most of the ideas on the Feedback Forums (UserVoice)… -
LPS#8 feedback thread
This was an interesting round, I think it broke a record for me in the most number of photos selected on my first pass through the gallery! My first pass yielded 35 photos that caught my attention for one reason or another. That list is as follows: Post# - Photog - Title 2 - PaulThomasMcKee - BIG BANG REDUX 3 - DRabbit -… -
TOROWEAP= Thermostat and Tow Truck
Toroweap was a trip that had been in the works for weeks and the Phoenix contingent of Ryan, Matt, Shawn, and myself were all anxious and excited to get to this remote part of the Grand Canyon. E-mails, text messages, and even a beer and taco meeting took place to ensure we had our bases covered and were bring the supplies… -
Week in St. Croix
Bob decided he'd rather stay in one place for a week rather than go to a different place every night on a ship. We went to… -

Re: Monthly Assignment #2: Natural Light Portrait
MA 2.10 Part II. Shooting. 6. Tips. Figure Tips about exterior. Figure. Note: All these recommendations are for models. But I think that photographer MUST know them and use them in his practice. This might be a theme for a talk with a model. Or a knowledge for the construction of your compositions. Cutting of a photograph.… -
Re: Moving Photos
workaround found I think Lemme see if I can explain what happened! Delema: I have around 800 photos in gallery1. I want to make this gallery no longer available but I don't want to delete it so the solution is to make gallery2 and move all the photos from gallery1 to gallery2. Set gallery2 to not "public" and delete… -
Re: Zero Cost Off The Neck Harness
This is how I carry my gear and other rants and raves... When I am doing serious magazine photography or photojournalism, I tend to carry three 1.6x bodies and three lenses. I carry two bodies (12-24mm Tokina ATX f/4 and 24-70mm f/2.8L) around my neck using an OPTECH Reporter strap. I carry the last body with a 70-200mm… -
