So 4200 pixels / 24" = 175 pixels per inch. Exactly how many pixels per inch you need for a high quality print depends upon the type of… -
Re: DSLR upgrade time: D2x vs. D3
I know that the D2x and the D3 are different beasts. But yes, I can compare them! Certainly, the D3 compares favorably in terms of ISO resolution abilities, ease of use with the big viewfinder etc, focus performance etc. The D3 also have features I'm not interested in such as Hi-Def. video. The D700 is about a 1000. less… -

After getting tired of the butterflies, we decided to see if we could make our way down a trail and get closer to the Hudson River. We stumbled onto a… -
Re: help picking my first DSLR
Even the rather old Canon XT/350D has some merit. The bigger problem is the lenses you are specifying. Here is an example of a kit better than you have specified: Canon XSi with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens (refurbished) $550USD: http://www.adorama.com/ICADRXSIBKR.html?searchinfo=refurbished+canon Be sure to read the…
