Routing issue/trouble connecting to smugmug
At the office today I was unable to connect to dgrin, my smugmug site or www.smugmug.com. I tried a couple of times over a few hours and didn't get anywhere. A few minutes ago, I noticed I was having no trouble at all. I tried it again through a VPN to my office--couldn't reach smugmug or dgrin. Here's a traceroute from my… -

Re: To DSLR or not DSLR.
The 30mm and 120mm are also 1/2000 Not sure if the upcoming 22mm or 65mm will be or not. The digital systems have a standard all of their own. My Mamiya is 53 x 40, and I know that the Hasselblad H5 and H6 series are also 53x40. I've not heard of anything bigger for digital. The Pentax, the Hasselblad X1D, and the new Fuji… -
Re: First Senior Portrait Session - Samples C&C Needed
I think you did great. All but #2 have good lighting. The BGs are complimentary in all except maybe #6 where the tree trunk is right behind his head. It doesn't bother me but some may not like it. Posing is pretty good. I don't see any poses that are unflattering. You cut the hans off in #5, again, just a photog nit. The… -

Best teeny camera
Hiya, I'm looking for advice on the best small camera to buy. Money isn't so much of an issue but I'd like it to not be any bigger (or maybe fractionally bigger) than my current Canon IXUS 50 (86 x 53 x 21 mm). I am after the ability to take good night and/or flash shots, good anti-shake (as it's mostly going to be shots… -
