Re: Tamron to Nikkor??
am I getting this straight? The non dx lenses are just getting the sides cropped off, rather than true magnification. So if I were to take a pic in full format then crop off the same areas I would have EXACTLY the same resulting image right? That is why it seems to be magnified, but it actually isn't because it is only… -
Video Profile on Andrew Wheeler (MacZippy)
(If this needs to be elsewhere, by all means move it to the proper forum) On the Throttle TV is a motorcycle site that covers mostly local AMA roadracing events here in the states. They have been really stepping up their coverage this year. They did a photographer's profile that they just posted on their site this morning… -

SOLD: Nikon AF 50mm f/1.4 D + filters
Hi, I have a MINT Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.4 D to sell. Used it only around 5 times. Bought new in june 2009. It has no scratch or marks whatsoever. The optics are perfect, it is like brand new. I love that lens but I am selling it because I switch from Nikon to Canon so I won't need it anymore. 5 stars for 218 reviews on B&H.… -
Re: Laptop LCD Quality - are any comparable to pro/semi-pro monitors?
They both use a 6bit TN panel. Yes, they may have a wide gamut backlight but they will have issues with the color/gamma shifting at even small angles off 90 degrees to screen. With laptops what I've noticed is that they seem to use a different TN matrix from a desktop monitor. The shift is much more noticeable on the… -
Mini Challenge #218 - Glass
Mini Challenge #218 - Glass Imo glass is wonderful stuff, its properties, what it allows us to do, how we benefit from having and using it in our lives. So, looking for 1 - 3 pics that you think show this material off in its best light (haha). Glass should be the subject that's the main theme / subject of the pic ...… -
Re: Andy/Baldy - feed me
More proof I'm just wierd Some background: As recently as November I ate a cheeseburger or cheesestake every day for lunch, I'd have a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel for breakfast and dinner was anything from sushi to steak. I ate some veggies but not a lot. I also did a fairly intense workout at least once a week and was… -

Re: How to adjust skin tones in RGB
Okay, so I've been doing some long overdue reading about color spaces, and I can't believe what I've been missing. I've decided that it's time for me to upgrade to PS CS3 when it comes out, since I have clearly outgrown PSE. But back to my original question about how to apply this tutorial in RGB space, I think I have a…
