18 Sony/Minolta AF Zooms (lot) $650
:clap :ivar :bow :barb :deal These lenses were hand picked by me from used shops over the past 18 to 20 months. I’ve tested all of them on an AF body and have put them head to head on the GH1 for my own edification. These are the better of over 30 zoom lenses tested. All of these lenses produce very good images when… -

Re: Need order form for upcoming Team & Individual photo shoot
[ I agree. Others have their reasons and don't but I am in it for the money and the maximum amount of money I can get. Not here in Oz. Tried the trading cards for baseball some years back. No one knew what the hell to do with them! Bread and butter for me is keeping the average spend high. I tried this once but of course… -

Apple computers are significantly more integrated than PCs. They tend to have less issues, but are not a panacea. Hardware problems, IE messed up hard disk, is going to the be the same on Mac or PC as they use the same parts. CPU, video chips, RAM, hard disks, chipsets, network chipsets, and almost everything in a Mac is… -

Re: Is there a single "correct" workflow?
While a workflow should accomplish several objectives, folks vary quite a bit in how they go about them. Some folks adjust the parameters in their cameras and shoot jpgs baked in the camera. Is this a bad technique? Not if done with exquisite care for correct white balancing and exposure. I suggest that, while a custom… -
Re: You want answers? We need questions! (or ask Ron Reznick)
Hi Dgrinners! We'll see what I can do here... some questions are rather vague. What is a good rule of thumb for setting the correct ISO? It's best to know the noise characteristics of your camera at various ISO settings, as well as your capabilities of handholding the particular lens on your camera. If your shutter speed… -

Re: IR Cameras
Pupator is correct. I have an IR converted Canon 350D/XT and it is vulnerable to certain lenses producing "IR hotspots". It does not matter who does the conversion either. The cause of IR hotspots appears to be the result of lens design not accommodating IR. I believe that some/much is caused by lens internal baffles…
