Re: Focusing problems at basketball games
Being mainly a sports shooter I have always strived to get that “sharp as a tack” action shot. I use about the same gear as you (Canon 7D and a 70-200mm f2.8 IS) but I also do a few things differently. Most of my basketball shots are done in small high school gyms with maybe 4 – 6 feet of room under the basket to shoot so… -
Re: Color Management ??
She is standing in the shade in a forest - I would expect blue, green tones in this environment. Sky yields blue light ( as in shade ) and green leaves filter in the green light from sunlight. That is how the scene looks, what you are searching for is how you want it to look. I prefer the second image. When I read the pixel… -
Re: Shenandoah in October anyone?
With Shenandoah a lot depends on how far you are willing to walk to get to what you want... I haven't done any portraiture, so I'm hesitant to make too many recommendations. That being said here are a few ideas, I'm assuming you'll be coming in either at Front Royal or at the intersection of Skyline Drive and 211, so I'm… -
Re: Struggling over bad loose ends - Aaron?
I did not see any missing anything, but, I had some code commented out... I removed it. Now I'm back to the state I was in in post #30, great seeing 5 lines of titles and wrapping. But the titles are not centered in the tiles. Here's all the code (I believe) that applies: what should I change? .sm-tiles-info-after… -
Mini Challenge #211 - Results
My favorites from each entrant... travelways - Rodney boat resting in peace. The boat looks like it was probably in decent shape when left, but now is becoming part of the landscape some with plants growing into and through it. DonRicklen - Old rail spur amongst abandoned industry. I've had some fun with others exploring… -

Re: The SmugMug and Lightroom 3 Publish Services Thread
I've tried completely removing the plugin, exiting LR, reinstalling the plugin, this time in the LR plugin path rather than out in space on my D: drive where I thought I was just putting a temporary copy, and it STILL won't update. I currently have 1.0.2.22 and its still offering 1.0.2.25 ... my plugin is in C:\Program… -

Re: Upload errors
I don't have time to mess with uploaders or debug this stuff - I just want this to work. StarExplorer has been working fine for me for multiple years for this very operation and none of Smugmug's uploaders will handle more than one gallery at a time so there are no viable Smugmug options. I started a multi-gallery upload…
