Re: New Business
Tanya - To add a signature to your dgrin posts, click You! above and to the left, then Edit Signature. Add the url to your site there, and it will show in every post. That's how I defined the links shown at the bottom of my posts. As far as working with HTML and CSS in your gallery descriptions goes, if you post what you… -
Re: What DLSR should I buy?
I agree with deciding on a system and going with it, but Nikon and Canon are not your only options. As a Pentax *istD owner for two and a half years, I can tell you that the glass is first rate (though currently no IS), good flashes are aplenty (just received my new AF-540FGZ today) and quality and workmanship is at least… -
Re: Great Tutorial on LAB color (easy one!)
Yup. You don't have to convert to Lab to sharpen, just use the Fade, Luminosity option which will introduce no damage in conversions to Lab and back* and allows you to further control this using the opacity slider. *Every time a conversion to LAB is produced, the rounding errors and severe gamut mismatch between the two… -

Re: Little League
A good start, as Jack and Paul have stated, get low... for this age group, it's best to sit on your bum... I even hunch over while on the ground to get as low of a POV as I can get... the second looks like you at least took a knee.... but also that you may have used a SS of around 1/1250...? I like to be at a minimum of… -
Re: Smart Gallery bug
Well... that is what was normal about one or two weeks ago. I've updated a keyword on a few photos and the search results shows more photos then the SmartGallery. Refresh did not change anything. I know it must be the indexer as the search did only show two photos yesterday (the same that are showing on the SmartGallery).… -
Re: Photo Publishing Dilemma
We bit the bullet and ordered an Epson Stylus Pro 4900. Boy is this a nice printer. We had a car show booked this past weekend which we hoped would be a large event in which we could provide our first larger onsite prints. It was a beautiful day and a great setting for the show, however the show turn out was just over half… -
Re: To Share or Not to Share.....
That's exactly what i'm hoping for... the board threatened to not bother with action shots and the parents that heard about it whipped up a frenzy... they are conditioned as well from the big box provider in the area to get action coverage only during playoff games which results in less than stellar shots... but the… -
Re: Cindy Again - Step Away From The Model
Ok, well if you'll indulge me for a moment longer... Let's say you were 60 feet away and the flash was half way between you and 8 feet to the side. You could draw a right triangle and figure out the angle by calculating its tangent... Anyway it was only about 15 degrees to the side, very close to being on-axis. For…
