Re: camera/lens belts....? Which one do you recommend?
I have not worn the harness, as I have enough hip to keep the belt up. I also use the OpTECH harness for 2 cameras and I think a harness with the belt would be too much for me. I shoot sports and am on my feet for long hours. I get tired in my legs, but not in my back. Flattering? Nope My sister calls it my bat belt, and… -
Re: A Trip Too Small: Fiji, New Zealand, and Some More
Wow, we're getting a little behind on our internetting lately, so I'm almost forgetting where we've been and what we've done! Luckily I have pictures. Moving south from Auckland, our next stop was near Hamilton, where we caught up with an old friend of mine who was also traveling New Zealand, and staying with a local Maori… -
Re: 1st Official Engagement Photoshoot
Hi Robert, Firstly, I'd like to say that there is something I immediately appreciate about your images. You're here, asking for critique (#1), and you're doing it with images that aren't great, but at least you don't have a watermark that you look like you spent ages on. I'm always flabbergasted to see folks come here with… -
Re: Backdrop Type and Size ??
digital backgrounds.....yes...with digital bkgrnds you need a solid color bkgrnd to remove it easily...at one time it was thought it had to be green or blue...however you can remove any bkgrnd but it can be a real pain....solid colors or near solids work best....I have used blk in the past as long as my client were dressed… -
Re: Is a $1000 monitor really worth it
My comments in blue above. I retained the key points from your original copy and paste. Re 6bit + AFRC Typically people want a monitor with a true 8bit or pseudo 10bit panel to minimize banding. I read a lot of monitor reviews and have not seen much at all re banding with the current generation of 6bit + AFRC e-IPS… -
Re: Yosemite on ice
With #6, well lets just say that in the time I had I could't get it to look exactly like what I had in my head. Close, but no cigar. I was really hoping to get more separation from the groom and the background, but I missed. I only had one light with me, so pushing fill light at them wasn't really an option. What I had… -

Costa Rica Part 1 - Monteverde
After returning from the roadtrip that coldclimb and I went on I had lots of money to spend so I bought a ticket to Costa Rica and went there with my friend Sarah. We spent 20 days there and did everything on a whim. We didn't have any idea where we were staying (even the night we landed) and didn't know where the trip… -
