This may save you some typing it's from your shot in the other thread. I just noticed it says 1375 shutter activations, wish Canon EXIF gave that info. [Image] Make = NIKON CORPORATION Model = NIKON D50 Orientation = top/left X Resolution = 300 Y Resolution = 300 Resolution Unit = inch Software = Microsoft Windows Photo… -
Re: Your advice? Please?
Thanks everyone for your really kind remarks! But this wedding just seems like the wedding from.... well you know. Here is the slideshow that I put up on Friday. I also uploaded all the photos... all 900 of them.... (That is a LOT of photos. Most I have EVER delivered. But I don't usually shoot for 14 hours.)… -
Re: Dance Studio pictures
I have got my printing costs Ridiculously low. I recently bought a bunch of 36" wide roll paper. I have made my own wide format cutter as an AO size is is min $400 and I'm cutting that into strips of the sizes I want ( 7" A4, and 12" for package prints) then trimming them to final Size on a smaller trimmer. Basically the… -
Re: Olympus E-5 Pro DSLR released
The 1 shot HDR-Like filter is sizzle, but the steak is an upgraded DSLR which is weatherproof, better ISO performance, new True-Pic, and live-view with a hi-res LCD. Keep in mind that the MSRP will be $1,699.. and I'm sure there will be downward movement in the E-30's and remaining E-3's. edit- this poster (from another… -

Wow! Julie, this sure is a nice set overall! I've got a bunch of nits but for the most part they are just that, please keep in mind throughout this that I feel overall this a very nice set! The biggest overall problem I have is the placement of your watermark on a lot of images. I told you it was nits.:D 1. She seems a bit… -
Re: What do you really need.???????
When I shoot HS Sports a mkIV/400mm f/2.8L IS on a monopod (add the monopod to the list), mkIV/70-200 II and a mkIII/24-70 on a dual rapid strap ensure can cover any aspect of a football game. I also carry 1.4x extenders to add to the 400 and 70-200 to get a different viewpoint of the action. This year I'll also be… -
Re: How much camera is too much?
"Not particularly price sensitive" means different things to different people. To some that could mean $10k on a kit is acceptable, others might balk at $1500 and yet feel they're not being price sensitive. I know when I started looking into "real" camera gear, I was mildly surprised by how quickly prices escalated. It's… -
Re: What to take on an Alaska cruise?
I think it depends on the boat you are going to be on - Large cruise ships won't really get that close to wildlife, so a 400mm lens may be quite helpful. One the other hand, some of the smaller cruise ships in Alaska that only take a dozen passengers or so, can really get you quite close at times, so that a 70-200 or even… -

Re: November Cruise to Bermuda
We were to leave Bermuda at 4 and to be back to the ship at 3:30. We were meeting Lewis at 9:30. It was blowing really hard and also raining a bit. Apparently it was bad weather all day at the Dockyard where the ship was and rained pretty heavily, but as you can see from my photos, we had pretty good weather where we were.…
