I've been ill with Crohn's but FINALLY posting a NYC wedding :)
Hi guys! It's been so long that I'm probably long forgotten :P but I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis -- which recently has been shown to likely be Crohn's disease. It's been a brutal, painful, nauseous year but at least I was able to shoot a few weddings! Here's the full post for anyone interested...… -
SOLD: Nikon AF 50mm f/1.4 D + filters
Hi, I have a MINT Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.4 D to sell. Used it only around 5 times. Bought new in june 2009. It has no scratch or marks whatsoever. The optics are perfect, it is like brand new. I love that lens but I am selling it because I switch from Nikon to Canon so I won't need it anymore. 5 stars for 218 reviews on B&H.… -
Yongnuo 622N Flash Triggers
Hello All - I just received a pair of Yongnuo 622N flash trancievers (triggers). I shoot with a Nikno D7000 and a Metz 52 - AF1 flash. The Metz works flawlesly on top of my camera's hot shoe, has a lot of power and the TTL functionality is GREAT. I bought the Yongnuo 622N's to save some money (maybe my first mistake). Does… -

I'm in the process of finalizing a big shoot with 52 galleries and over 1300 photos from three photographers. I was trying to move about 10… -

I did not think that it would be so challenging running and judging a mini. Boy was I wrong. Note to self and advice to others, next time make it more focused on a subject. Makes it easier for judging and is far more fair to the participants. There are so many number of winners here in a wide range of styles. I think when… -

Re: Friday night lights
Football Flash? Last Friday I took my first photos of football (both JV and Varsity) for a friend whose sons (#52 and #55) played. As it got darker I tried a flash on my 7d (70-200 2.8) in Manual Mode. I was only able to shoot at 1/250 and could not increase the shutter speed with the flash (580 ex). I claim ignorance on… -
Re: smugmug command line tool in python
My version of this script stopped working for me on Sunday (after chugging along unchanged for years.) The power of open-source payed off and before I even got around to trying to debug it, the sm_tool.py user community found and submitted a bug fix. Basiccally, use a different URL for initializing the connection, and pass…
